A Level 2 NVQ Teaching Assistant is achieved when the candidate has shown sufficient application of the knowledge of the work activities, usually attained through passing certain exams and spending a specific period of time while working at Level 1 in the classroom.
NVQ Teaching Assistant
Those who wish to become NVQ Teaching Assistant, in England,Wales and Northern Ireland need to pass certain qualifications in order to achieve the right credentials to hold the position. The NVQ or National Vocational Qualification is a work award that is based on both assessment, usually through testing and training, typically on the job training where the student learns about the teaching assistant position through work in the classroom. In this case, the NVQ in question is an NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning in School.
About NVQ Teaching Assistant
In order to pass the NVQ Teaching Assistant level, the candidates must prove that they have achieved the ability to carry out the job requirements as stated, depending on the level chosen. Such NVQs are based on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) that lay out what is expected for the teaching assistant. In most cases, the candidate or student will work in a paid or volunteer position until they achieve the appropriate level of NVQ.
