NVQ Teaching Assistant Level 3
The information below is to help you decide if this particular level is right for you.
NVQ Teaching Assistant Level 3
You will find that the NVQ Teaching Assistant Level 3 is even more advanced and requires full knowledge of the broad range of work that the NVQ Teaching Assistant requires. This is, generally speaking, even more complex and knowledge is shown through both time spent and examinations that are passed.
You will have worked in this area for some time and have plenty of experience – perhaps supporting pupils’ learning activities, helping to promote positive behaviour and effective teamwork.
Hi,
I am interested in doing the level 3 teaching assistant course. I was wondering if you could direct me to a course in the Newcastle area?
Regards,
Peter Jackson
Hi Peter,
I can find one college in the Tyne and Wear area offering the course: South Tyneside College – http://www.stc.ac.uk
It would probably be a good idea to phone Next Step (0800 100 900) who can advise of the various options available.
Cheers.
Hi, I was wondering if this si the same as the new specialist support in teaching and learning levels that you can now do at college?
Hi Amy,
I don’t know if this course is the same or similar to be honest – I am not familiar with it. From what I can tell though, as it leads to fully qualified teaching assistant status, it must cover the same topics. The best thing to do would be to speak to whichever college you have found that is offering the course to ensure it matches up with your expectations.
sorry about the typos but there is a pop up on the screen which I cannot see under. I was asking if you know of a college in Co Antrim or even Belfast offering this NVQ?
Hi I am trying to find this course in the Greenwich/south London area, can you help?
Thanks
Hi Katy,
If you are specifically looking at the NVQ course then I’m assuming you’re currently working in a place of education. In which case, your first port of call should be your senior management who should be able to help you out here. If you are not currently working in a school then you will probably need to take a CACHE course instead and these can be taken online/from home – just Google CACHE level 3 courses to find out more!
Hi,
